Dr. Mustafa Pınar, an associate professor in the
Department of Industrial Engineering has placed second
in the Robert Faure Competition organized by ROADEF, a
French research organization. The competition was open
to researchers under the age of 35 who are members of
ROADEF. Entrants were required to submit all of their
publications to a jury. Dr. Pınar says that the
submitted research had to include an applied component
to receive a high ranking from the jury.
For his second-place finish, Dr. Pınar received an award
of 6000 FFr. Currently, Mustafa Pınar is on sabbatical
at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. For more
